Shaila Pandit
Radiating with pride, I am honoured to be recognized as the Woman Change Maker of the Year by the esteemed Woman Leaders Forum. This acknowledgement stands as a testament to my legal expertise and leadership in spearheading the establishment of around 33 retail stores, warehouses, factories, overseeing 3PL management, engaging in land acquisition, and other impactful initiatives on a pan-India scale for Infra.Market.
Reflecting on my journey, I acknowledge the pivotal role played by my father in shaping the course of my life. His visionary spirit and determination to break free from the confines of rural traditions, including regressive practices like purdah, laid the foundation for my pursuits. From being the first female in my village to pursue education to securing a corporate job in the legal field, each milestone is a testament to his influence.
Building on this foundation, I pursued further education, earning a B. Com degree and making the decisive choice to pursue LLB. Bolstered by my confidence in public speaking, I recognized it as a well-suited path for a career in law. Launching my professional journey with a prominent steel production company, I sensed a trajectory of progress upon joining Infra.Market. The unwavering support from my work environment and colleagues motivated me to shoulder responsibilities beyond the usual legal duties, contributing significantly to the growth of my career.
Currently undertaking a Master's Degree in Business Law (MBL), my commitment to continuous learning has been recognized with awards from esteemed figures like Justice Dhanuka and Justice Shriram for assignments in Arbitration. Receiving the WLF award from notable figures such as Advocate Harleen Bindra, Dr. Neeraj Sharma (Honorary Counsel General of the Republic of Palau to India), Dr. Deepak Singh (Cultural Ambassador of Seychelles Govt. of Seychelles), and Smt. Ranjeeta Mehta (Honorary General Secretary Haryana State Council for Child Welfare) marks a pinnacle in my professional accomplishments.
Beyond my professional pursuits, active involvement in NGOs advocating for the rights of girl education and welfare has been a fulfilling commitment. Witnessing young girls in my village looking up to me with admiration warms my heart. Their hope and desire to work for a better quality of life and a bright future resonate deeply, affirming the impact of a journey that extends beyond personal accomplishments.
